how do I configure the website settings interface for multiple websites?

This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to configure the website settings interface to work with multiple websites.

Multiple websites are two or more multi-page websites.

I.E., you could have three pages linked together to sell ebay software; you could have six pages linked together to sell wholesale drop ship sources; and you could have ten web pages linked together to feature a religious message; etc.

After completing this tutorial, you will be able to create multiple websites. I.E., two or more multi page corporate websites, two or more multi page product selling websites, two or more multi page resource directory websites, etc.

To configure the website settings interface for the use of multiple websites, follow the step-by-step instructions for 'configuring the website settings interface for stand-alone websites'. This is because the settings are exactly the same.

how do I configure the website settings interface for one multi-page website?

This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to configure the website settings interface to work with one big multi page website.

A multi-page website is a group of web pages all linked together. they are normally linked together using the navigation bar. Each navigation bar on each page would have a link to every page at your website.

After completing this tutorial, you will be able to create a multi page corporate website.

Multi page websites are created for corporations. this is because they usually want to keep their same look and feel on every page. I.E., their title, slogan, navigation bar, style, and logo would all be the same on every page.

Note: it is not necessary for you to change the scope setting for any group setting or any individual setting on the website settings interface. These scope settings are ignored when the primary scope level is set to 'use global without scope'.

Part One of One

Part one of this tutorial will help you change the primary scope setting in the website settings interface. You will be changing it to the 'force global without scope' setting. This setting is used because it allows you to get started quickly. You can make all of your changes at a global level and be done.

Open the Website Settings Interface

Navigate to the main command menu interface.

Navigate to the 'global settings' commands.

Navigate to the 'scope website setting' combo box.

Select 'force global without scope' in the combo box.

Using the 'without scope' option gives you the ability to force all the pages and resources at your website to all use the same settings. I.E., all of your pages will be forced to use and display the same MP3 player, hit counter, navigation bar, etc.

Save Your Changes

Navigate to the bottom of the interface.

Click on the 'submit changes' command.

This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to configure the website settings interface to work with stand-alone web pages.

Stand-alone web pages are single product web pages. They focus on one product and one product only. They do not link to any other page at your website. They can be thought of as niche market sales pages.

After completing this tutorial, you will be able to create stand-alone web pages at your website.

Note: you may skip this tutorial if your account is new and unchanged. We say this because these settings are the default settings for all new accounts.

Part One of Two

Part one of this tutorial will help you change the primary scope setting in the website settings interface. You will be changing it to the 'force global with scope' setting. This setting is used because it is the most flexible setting. It is also the default setting.

Using the 'with scope' option gives you the ability to later force certain groups of settings to use the global settings. I.E., you may one day wish to force all of your pages to use and display the same MP3 player, hit counter, search box, etc.

Part Two of Two

Part two of this tutorial will help you change the secondary scope settings in the website settings interface. You will be changing them to the 'force global with scope' setting. This setting is used because it is the most flexible setting. It is also the default setting.

Check all the individual settings on this page to be sure each scope setting is set to 'allow local setting'.

Using the 'with scope' option gives you the ability to later force an individual setting in the 'general' group of settings to use the global setting.
